After 20 years in the shop in Shaftesbury Avenue Ray's has moved to Foyles Bookshop who have bought Ray's and incorporated it into their first floor with a cafe . They have their own direct entrance lit by a red neon sign. The stock comprises two thirds jazz and one third world music - new releases as well as classic items for the specialist collector. CD and Book signings by musicians as well as a space for live music.

Run by Mark Wastell, this, now online-only, shop is a specialist retailer for obtaining experimental, improvisation-based, electronic and contemporary new music releases from anywhere in the world. Though not officially a distributor, Sound 323 is the only stockist in the UK for many of the independent labels found in these pages. In addition, it occasionally has special offers, particularly useful for gap-filling in collections. In addition to running two labels: Sound 323 and Confront (now dormant-ish), Mark has also published a book Blocks of consciousness and the unbroken continuum under the Sound 323 imprint.
