New World Records 80676-2 A sounding of sources
Malcolm Goldstein, violin, voice, acoustic art; Radu Malfatti, trombone (track 2); Philippe Micol, bass clarinet (track 2); Philippe Racine, flute (track 2); Beat Schneider, cello (track 2).
Track 1, for solo violin, was recorded on 24 August 2002 at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, Colorado; track 2 was recorded on 20 November 1996 at the Kunstmuseum Bern, Switzerland; track 3 was created as a commission from West German Radio (WDR) and put together there as part of their acoustic art/radio works series - it was broadcast in 1988; track 4, for solo violin/voice, was recorded on 4 May 2005 in the Lombrives caves, Ussat-les-Bains, France.
